Dear all colleagues

We, AASYC-BD would like to introduce concerning 8888 program that will hold on August 8, 08 in Dhaka leading by AASYC in cooperation with other alliance parties and including individual. Therefore we, All Arakan Students and Youths Congress want all of our colleagues to participate or join in the same day.

Since 1988 people uprising in Burma, where hundred of thousand of civilians were killed by brutal military junta crack downed across the country, so in this time of this year is very significant day of in Myanmar’s history around the world not to forget that people were blood in land and sacrificed. Many of demonstrators had to flee to neighboring countries like Thailand, Bangladesh and India including other countries and the rest of remaining protectors were arrested and many of them seriously tortured and put in Jail by the authorities of Burma military Junta.


Today is 20th Anniversary of the massacre of unarmed civilian’s bathes Military Regime of Burma, therefore the day of the occurred is deep concern to keep in mind and need to mobilized or awareness all over the world that who were working for pro-democracy movement inside and outside liberate areas, it would be a good program, reality if we will cooperate with together all our colleagues on the activities.


Aim and Object

1. Immediately dialogues with political parties and including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
2. Stop the systematically use of rape by the Burmese military as a political weapon against the ethnic nationalities of Burma.
3. Immediately free political prisoners and allow their participation in the political process.
4. Provide humanitarian relief and assistance to the people of Burma especially ethnic nationalities areas.
5. Strengthen international sanctions and introduce new measures against the military until take concrete step to into political dialogues.
6. Re-affirm our commitment to a ‘Tripartite Dialogues’ as the best means to achieve national reconciliation and democracy.
