Rakhaing Women Union (RWU) could rescue a girl who was being troubled at a SPDC major's house

A Rakhaing girl, Mazakan, Rathaydaung Township, was taken to Thalontaw battlation (12) at Sittwe in Rakhaing state to serve as a housekeeper at Major Aung Thant's house in last June , then she was sent to Yangon again.

The family ordered to work her in their house which situate at North-Okklapa Township. Despite they promised her to give 30,000 kyat per month for the job but they did not give any money and they ordered to work very rudely. She requested to send back her to her parents because they did not feed enough food and treated her terribly. Major Aung Thant's wife did not send her to the Rakhaing state but she was forced her to go somewhere.

She refused hardly her proposal. Major Aung Thant's wife threaded to send police station every 3 day, if she doesn't follow with her. When she could not ask her where she wanted to go, she abused her that the Rakhaings are very stubborn. She was tortured with iron, and was splashed with soup water by Major's mother in law. She could not stay any more there.

When she asked many times to send back her family, they threw away her at a Rakhaing bus station named Shwepra Rakhaing in Rangoon. They gave her national card (ID card) to the bus driver, and then they asked to driver that to tie in the bus. Don't give back her national card to her. A Major will pick up her when you arrive a bus station. Then, Major's wife said that 'we are not responsible whatever you happened.

Some of RWU members saw the girl was crying and very hungrily at the bus station on 28th August. So they inquired her and worried too much for her future. They feed food and cheer up her not to worry. Since then they tried to rescue her from there and called to Rakhaing State by secret way.

Therefore, RWU members struggled to send her RWU head quarter with various difficulties. To escape from the entire terrible situations of Major Aung Thant's families as well as to escape from the dangers of her life.
