Thousands of runaway fishermen from Myanmar are estimated to be on the island of Tual in Indonesia's far eastern Bandar sea.
The refugees say they have survived murder and slavery on the high seas in Thai fishing boats.
Having jumped ship they say they are now stranded. Al Jazeera visited their "Island of the damned".
